Multi announces the acquisition by Blackstone Group LP (BX) Partners Europe IV of Palmanova Outlet Village, a 22,000 m2 high-quality outlet centre located between Trieste and Venice. The village opened in 2008 and hosts over 90 retailers, including Calvin Klein, Nike, Adidas, Guess and Tommy Hilfiger and generates approximately three million customer visits per year.

As a result of this acquisition, Blackstone now owns a portfolio of five upmarket factory outlet centres throughout Italy1, located in Lombardy, Tuscany, the Venice region and Puglia. The platform, one of the largest in Italy, totals 150,000 m2 with approximately 650 shops, and welcomes 15 million visitors a year. Annual sales across the platform are close to € 400 million. Blackstone was advised on the acquisition of Palmanova by Cushman & Wakefield.

Public Service Enterprise Group Inc. (PEG) through its wholly-owned subsidiary PSEG Fossil, has acquired the 755-MW Keys Energy Center project from Genesis Power, LLC and an energy-focused private equity fund managed by Ares EIF Management, LLC. PSEG Power plans to rename the facility the PSEG Keys Energy Center (KEC).

PSEG Power – an independent power producer and partner of PSEG – anticipates to start construction of the natural gas-fired, combined-cycle plant in 2015. The plant, which represents an investment of $825 - $875 million, is targeted to be accomplished and supplying needed capacity and energy to the state of Maryland and region in 2018. The project was bid into and cleared the PJM capacity auction in May 2014.

PSEG Fossil will oversee construction, operate and maintain the combined-cycle plant. SNC - Lavalin Constructors Inc. is the designated engineering, procurement and construction contractor. The combined-cycle plant will use state-of-the-art generating technology, counting a full complement of emissions controls and run on clean, efficient natural gas. The plant will generate about 700 jobs during the two-year construction phase. More than 20 permanent jobs will be created to run the new plant once it becomes operational.

Public Service Enterprise Group Incorporated, through its auxiliaries, operates as an energy company primarily in the northeastern and Mid Atlantic United States. The company operates nuclear, coal, gas, oil-fired, and renewable generation facilities with a generation capacity of about 13,146 megawatts. Dominion Resources, Inc. (NYSE:D), ended its Wednesday’s trading session with 0.94% gain, and closed at $68.00.

California’s Glendale Water & Power (GWP), in collaboration with Dominion Voltage Inc. (DVI), a grid-optimization subsidiary of Dominion Resources (D), has executed a full deployment license agreement for the use of DVI’s EDGE® advanced grid optimization solution.

GWP selected one feeder with about 3,800 electric meters for the pilot. DVI and GWP monitored the system and calculated energy savings from October 2014 through November 2014. The testing validated the predictable energy savings of 2.95 percent, well within the anticipated range of 2-4 percent. This reduction resulted in a savings of 87 megawatt hours (MWh) without requiring a change in customer behavior; when fully deployed, GWP anticipates to save more than 14,500 MWh each year.
