Pre-Market Stocks Highlights: General Electric Company, (NYSE:GE), Hewlett-Packard Company, (NYSE:HPQ), Agilent Technologies, (NYSE:A)

On Wednesday, Shares of General Electric Company (NYSE:GE), lost -1.05% to $27.26.

General Electric Company, declared details of the projected four-year labor agreements that will be voted on by members of the IUE-CWA and UE on or about June 30, 2015.

The details come one day after the UE Conference Board endorsed its contract. The IUE-CWA endorsed its contract recently.

GE Vice President for Labor Relations Greg Capito said, “We’re happy we were able to reach a tentative agreement which was recommended by the delegates for their members to ratify. This contract continues to provide an excellent GE job package, and we are hopeful our employees will feel the same.”

Noteworthy Cash Payments and Wage Enhances

Union employees covered by these negotiations will receive about $15,500 in additional compensation over the next four years:

  • $2,000 ratification bonus
  • Three accelerated cash payments totaling $8,000
  • Four fixed cost of living adjustments (COLAs) and one general wage enhance.

General Electric Company (GE) operates as an infrastructure and financial services company worldwide. Hewlett-Packard Company, declared several new applications for Sprout by HP, the world’s first immersive computer, enhancing the user experience and expanding the 3D Ecosystem for creative professionals and aspiring creatives.

The new applications that will be accessible this summer comprise Crayola Color Alive, Ideum Origami Apprentice, Mobile5 SizeUp, Mischief for Sprout, Sprout Stop Motion, Sprout Light Stencil and Sprout Video Capture, in addition to HP’s own Sprout 3D Capture application, declared earlier this month.

Agilent Technologies, declared two additions to its AdvanceBio product family, designed to provide rapid, reproducible results for scientists in the biopharmaceutical industry.

Agilent introduced the products—the AdvanceBio glycan-mapping workflow and the AdvanceBio oligonucleotide column—at HPLC 2015, an international symposium being held in Geneva, Switzerland, this week.

The company’s new AdvanceBio glycan-mapping workflow is a complete consumables workflow for deglycosylation, 2-AB labeling and HILIC glycan analysis using mass spectrometry and fluorescence detection. This unique workflow features AdvanceBio glycan-mapping columns, glycan standards and N-glycan sample-preparation kits, together with all the consumable components researchers require.

The product’s comprehensive guides and standard methods provide researchers with everything they need to quickly identify and quantify glycans in a way that is easily reproducible.

The new AdvanceBio oligonucleotide column is the first high-pH, stable, superficially porous particle-based liquid chromatography column for oligonucleotide analysis. It builds on Agilent’s innovations in superficially porous silica-based columns for biomolecule separations, which began with the Poroshell 300 in 2001 and comprises AdvanceBio peptide-mapping, glycan-mapping and RP-mAb columns.
