Pre-Market Stocks Highlights: International Business Machines. (NYSE:IBM), Analog Devices, (NASDAQ:ADI), Royal Caribbean Cruises (NYSE:RCL), Baidu (NASDAQ:BIDU)

On Monday, International Business Machines Corp. (NYSE:IBM)’s shares inclined 0.44% to $167.73.

International Business Machines Corp. (IBM) is announcing the delivery of industry leading enterprise class containers that make it easier for clients to deliver production applications across their hybrid environments.

Containers give developers flexibility to build once and move applications without the need to rewrite or redeploy their code. IBM Containers, based on Docker and built on Bluemix, IBM’s platform-as-a-service, provide a more efficient environment that enables faster integration and access to analytics, big data and security services. Enterprises will now be able to use the combination of IBM, Docker, Cloud Foundry and OpenStack to create a new generation of portable distributed applications.

Also declared recently, IBM has become a founding member of a coalition of partners and users to create the Open Container Platform (OCP) that will ensure that containers are interoperable. The creation of the OCP will produce a collaborative environment that fosters the rapid growth of container-based solutions, offering developers a single industry agreed upon approach and direction.

International Business Machines Corporation provides information technology (IT) products and services worldwide. The company’s Global Technology Services segment provides IT infrastructure and business process services, such as outsourcing, processing, integrated technology, cloud, and technology support. Analog Devices, Inc. (NASDAQ:ADI)’s shares gained 0.16% to $68.02.

Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI) held on June 17, 2015, Bruce R. Evans was elected to the Board of Directors for a term ongoing to the Company’s next annual meeting of shareholders in March 2016 when all directors will be subject to election by shareholders. Mr. Evans will serve on the Company’s Audit Committee of the Board of Directors. In connection with his service on the Board of Directors, Mr. Evans will receive an annual cash retainer of $60,000, paid quarterly. In connection with his service on the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors, Mr. Evans will also receive an annual cash retainer of $6,000, paid quarterly.

Mr. Evans will automatically be granted on July 15, 2015 (or the next succeeding business day that the NASDAQ is open) equity awards under the Company’s 2006 Stock Incentive Plan as follows:

(a) a non-qualified stock option to purchase 5,250 shares of common stock of the Company at an exercise price equal to the closing price of the common stock on the grant date, which shall vest and become exercisable with respect to the shares covered thereby on the earlier of the date of the Company’s next annual meeting of shareholders or March 11, 2016; and

(b) 990 restricted stock units, which shall vest and convert into shares of the Company’s common stock on the earlier of the date of the Company’s next annual meeting of shareholders or March 11, 2016.

On an annual basis, each non-employee director reelected at an annual meeting of shareholders is automatically granted: (a) a non-qualified stock option to purchase a number of shares of common stock approved by the Board at an exercise price equal to the closing price of the common stock on the grant date; and

(b) a restricted stock unit award for a number of shares of common stock approved by the Board, each on the date of the Company’s annual meeting of shareholders.

Analog Devices, Inc. engages in the design, manufacture, and marketing of analog, mixed-signal, and digital signal processing integrated circuits (ICs) for use in industrial, automotive, consumer, and communication markets worldwide. It offers signal processing products that convert, condition, and process real-world phenomena, such as temperature, pressure, sound, light, speed, and motion into electrical signals.

At the end of Mondays trade, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (NYSE:RCL)‘s shares surged 1.98% to $81.38.

Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (RCL) said it raised its rating on the cruise operator based on the company’s valuation and expectations that Royal Caribbean will benefit from new ship introductions, which should drive growth in the China and Asia Pacific regions.

JPMorgan has upped its price target to $90 from $83 on Royal Caribbean stock.

Shares of Royal Caribbean are up by 1.70% to $77.01 at the start of trading this morning.

Miami, FL.-based Royal Caribbean operates cruises using a variety of brand names counting Celebrity Cruises, Pullmantur, Azamara Club Cruises and CDF Croisieres de France. The company also has a 50% joint venture with TUI Cruises.

Royal Caribbean Cruises, Ltd. operates as a cruise company. The company operates cruisers under the Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises, Pullmantur, Azamara Club Cruises, CDF Croisières de France, and TUI Cruises brand names. The Royal Caribbean International brand provides cruise itineraries ranging from 2 to 18 nights with options for onboard dining, entertainment, and other onboard activities to various destinations.

Baidu Inc (ADR) (NASDAQ:BIDU), ended its Monday’s trading session with -0.58% loss, and closed at $209.64.

Baidu Inc (ADR) (BIDU) the leading Chinese language Internet search provider, recently declared that it has filed a preliminary prospectus supplement with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (the “SEC”) under an automatic shelf registration statement on Form F-3, following which the Company proposes to sell senior notes. The Company intends to use the net proceeds from the offering for general corporate purposes.

The joint bookrunners of the offering are Goldman Sachs (Asia) L.L.C. and J.P. Morgan Securities LLC.

Baidu, Inc. provides Internet search services in China and internationally. It offers Chinese language search platform on its Baidu.com Website that enables users to find relevant information online, counting Web pages, news, images, documents, and multimedia files through links offered on its Website; and international products and services to users in other countries.
