Stocks in the Spotlight - CBS Corporation (NYSE:CBS), Zynga Inc (NASDAQ:ZNGA), VeriFone Systems Inc (NYSE:PAY)

On Friday, Shares of CBS Corporation (NYSE:CBS), lost -2.03%to $42.92.

Cablevision Systems Corporation and CBS Corporation (NYSE: CBS.A and CBS), declared a broad-based multi-year content carriage agreement. The new deal covers retransmission consent for CBS-owned stations, and the continued carriage of SHOWTIME, CBS Sports Network and Smithsonian Channel. Financial terms were not revealed.

As part of the new agreement, Cablevision is the first cable or satellite provider to declare plans to distribute CBS All Access and SHOWTIME Internet services to its Optimum Online customers. Pricing plans, timing and other particulars will be offered at a later time.

“This comprehensive new agreement builds on our strong relationship with CBS and ensures that every Optimum customer gets the highly popular CBS content they want across multiple platforms and screens,” said Tom Montemagno, executive vice president, programming, Cablevision. “As the first distributor to agree to provide CBS’ new Internet services, Cablevision continues to expand its portfolio of next-generation offerings, connecting customers to the programming they value when and where they want it.”

Shares of Zynga Inc (NASDAQ:ZNGA), declined -1.57% to $2.50, during its last trading session.

Zynga Inc., declared that it will speak at the Canaccord Genuity 2015 Global Online Gaming Conference in New York on September 9, 2015, and the Citi 2015 Global Technology Conference in New York on September 10, 2015.

Zynga’s Chief Financial Officer, David Lee, and Senior Vice President of Games, Lincoln Brown, will attend the Canaccord Genuity 2015 Global Online Gaming Conference in New York on Wednesday, September 9. Brown will take part in a panel negotiation on social casino games that is planned to start at 8:00 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT).

Lee will also take part in a fireside chat at the Citi 2015 Global Technology Conference in New York on Thursday, September 10, at 11:00 a.m. EDT.

Zynga Inc. develops, markets, and operates online social games as live services played on the Internet, social networking sites, and mobile platforms in the United States, Asia, and Europe.

 

Finally, VeriFone Systems Inc (NYSE:PAY), ended its last trade with -4.72% loss, and closed at $29.58.

GAAP and non-GAAP net revenues for the quarter were $510 million, contrast to $476 million a year ago, a 7% improvement, and an 18% improvement on a constant currency basis. GAAP net income per diluted share for the quarter was $0.08, contrast to a net loss of $0.26 a year ago. Non-GAAP net income per diluted share was $0.47, contrast to $0.40 a year ago, a 18% improvement.

VeriFone Systems, Inc. designs, markets, and services electronic payment solutions at the point of sale (POS) worldwide. It provides countertop electronic payment systems that accept card payment options, such as NFC, mobile wallets, chip and PIN, and contactless payments, in addition to support credit and debit card, EBT, EMV, and other PIN-based transactions; and a portfolio of application libraries and development tools.
