Stocks to Watch: NextEra Energy Inc (NYSE:NEE), Western Refining, Inc. (NYSE:WNR), MFA Financial, Inc. (NYSE:MFA), Crestwood Midstream Partners LP (NYSE:CMLP)

On Monday, Shares of NextEra Energy Inc (NYSE:NEE), gained 0.78% to $98.05.

NextEra Energy Partners, declared the pricing of an underwritten public offering of 8,000,000 common units representing limited partner interests in NextEra Energy Partners at a price of $26.00 per common unit. The underwriters have a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 1,200,000 common units from NextEra Energy Partners on the same terms.

The public offering is predictable to close on Sept. 16, 2015, subject to customary closing conditions. Gross proceeds to NextEra Energy Partners from the sale of 8,000,000 common units will be about $208 million. NextEra Energy Partners intends to use the net proceeds of the public offering to repay amounts owed under a $313 million term loan (the “Term Loan”).

NextEra Energy, Inc., through its auxiliaries, generates, transmits, and distributes electric energy in the United States and Canada. The company generates electricity from gas, oil, solar, coal, petroleum coke, nuclear, and wind sources. As of December 31, 2014, it served about 9 million people through about 4.7 million customer accounts in the east and lower west coasts of Florida. The company had about 44,900 megawatt of generating capacity.

Shares of Western Refining, Inc. (NYSE:WNR), declined -0.02% to $42.79, during its last trading session.

Western Refining, declared that its Board of Directors has authorized an additional $200 million share repurchase program effective through December 31, 2016. This authorization is in addition to the previous program which has about $35.8 million remaining as of September 21, 2015 and which expires on November 3, 2015.

Share repurchases under the new program may be made from time-to-time through open market transactions, block trades, privately negotiated transactions or otherwise, and are subject to market conditions, in addition to corporate, regulatory, and other considerations. This share repurchase program may be suspended at any time by the Board of Directors.

Western Refining, Inc. operates as an independent crude oil refiner and marketer of refined products. The company operates in four segments: Refining, NTI, WNRL, and Retail. The Refining segment owns and operates two refineries that process crude oil and other feed stocks primarily into gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel, and asphalt; and markets refined products to various customers, counting wholesale distributors and retail chains.

At the end of Monday’s trade, Shares of MFA Financial, Inc. (NYSE:MFA), gained 1.05% to $7.24.

MFA Financial, declared that its Board of Directors declared a regular quarterly cash dividend of $0.20 per share of common stock for the third quarter of 2015. The dividend will be paid on October 30, 2015, to stockholders of record on September 29, 2015.

MFA is a real estate investment trust primarily engaged in the business of investing, on a leveraged basis, in residential mortgage assets, counting residential mortgage-backed securities and residential whole loans.

MFA Financial, Inc., a real estate investment trust (REIT), invests in residential agency and non-agency mortgage-backed securities (MBS), and residential whole loans in the United States (the U.S.). Its MBS are secured by hybrid mortgages, adjustable-rate mortgages, and 15-year and longer term fixed-rate mortgages, in addition to by mortgages that have interest rates that reset more frequently.

Finally, Crestwood Midstream Partners LP (NYSE:CMLP), ended its last trade with 11.51% gain, and closed at $7.07.

Alerian declared that following the close of business on Friday, September 18, Crestwood Midstream Partners LP (CMLP) will be removed from the Alerian MLP Infrastructure Index (NYSE:AMZI).

The constituents of the index will be rebalanced on a capped, float-adjusted, capitalization-weighted basis in accordance with the existing index methodology. Constituent additions to and deletions from the index do not reflect an opinion by Alerian on the investment merits of the respective securities.

Crestwood Midstream Partners LP provides gathering, processing, storage, and transportation solutions to customers in the crude oil, natural gas liquids (NGL), and natural gas sectors of the energy industry in the United States. The company operates through three segments: Gathering and Processing, Storage and Transportation, and NGL and Crude Services.
