Ctrip.com, surged to a record in U.S. trading as the Chinese trip-booking website stated better-than-estimated earnings and analysts recommended buying the stock, according to Bloomberg.

American depositary receipts of Ctrip rose 8.8 percent to $71.14 on Thursday in New York, the highest since its debut in 2003. The Bloomberg index of the most-traded Chinese stocks in the U.S. advanced 2 percent, led by a 17 percent rally in Youku Tudou Inc. which was the most in three years. NetEase Inc. also surged to a record after first-quarter revenue and profit beat analyst projections.

More than two-thirds of the 29 companies on the Bloomberg China-U.S. gauge that have stated earnings this season have beaten analyst sales projections while about half have topped profit estimates. Analysts from Oppenheimer & Co. to Summit Research LLC raised their ratings on Ctrip to the equivalent of buy, citing strong revenue growth and better-than-predictable profitability, Bloomberg reports.

Ctrip.com International, Ltd., together with its auxiliaries, provides travel services for hotel accommodations, transportation ticketing services, packaged tours, and corporate travel administration in the People’s Republic of China. It also offers independent leisure travelers bundled packaged-tour products, counting group tours, semi-group tours, and private tours or packaged tours with various transportation arrangements, such as cruise, bus, or self-driving.

At the end of Thursday’s trade, Shares of Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM), gained 0.47% to $86.97.

Exxon Mobil gained a bit despite U.S. oil futures closed lower on Thursday as an ample global supply picture weighed on prices while Brent’s front-month June contract headed to expiration.

 

U.S. crude for June delivery closed down 62 cents, or 1 percent, at $59.88 a barrel. Meanwhile, expiring front-month Brent crude was trading 20 cents lower near $67 a barrel.

Exxon Mobil Corporation explores for and produces crude oil and natural gas in the United States, Canada/South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia/Oceania.

Finally, The Charles Schwab Corporation (NYSE:SCHW), ended its last trade with 0.35% gain, and closed at $31.81.

  • Net new assets brought to the company by new and existing clients in April 2015 totaled $9.1 billion, counting $9.3 billion of inflows from certain mutual fund clearing services clients. Aside from these inflows, net new assets reflected client cash disbursements during tax season.
  • Total client assets were a record $2.55 trillion as of month-end April, up 10% from April 2014 and up 1% contrast to March 2015.
  • Client assets receiving ongoing advisory services were also a record $1.26 trillion as of month-end April, up 11% from April 2014 and up 1% contrast to March 2015.
