SolarCity Corp (SCTY) declared the hiring of J. Radford Small as Senior Vice President, Business Development and Investor Relations. In his new role, Radford will assist execute the company’s long term growth strategy with a focus on increasing shareholder value.

Radford joins SolarCity from Goldman, Sachs & Co. where he was a Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer for the Clean Technology and Renewables group. Over his 17 year career in the Investment Banking Division at Goldman Sachs, Radford served clients across multiple areas of the energy sector counting regulated utilities, independent power producers and clean technology companies. He raised over $20 billion in financing and worked on over $25 billion of mergers and acquisitions transactions.

SolarCity Corporation designs, manufactures, installs, maintains, monitors, leases, and sells solar energy systems to residential, commercial, government, and other customers in the United States. It offers solar energy systems; solar lease and power purchase agreement finance products; mounting hardware for photovoltaic panels; and related software, in addition to develops a proprietary battery administration system, which is designed to enable remote, bidirectional control of distributed energy storage that can provide benefits to customers, utilities, and grid operators.

Costco Wholesale Corporation (NASDAQ:COST)’s shares dropped -0.14% to $142.39.

Costco Wholesale Corporation (COST) declared its operating results for the third quarter (twelve weeks) and first thirty-six weeks of fiscal 2015, ended May 10, 2015.

Net sales for the quarter raised one percent, to $25.52 billion, from $25.23 billion last year. Net sales for the first thirty-six weeks raised four percent, to $78.67 billion, from $75.46 billion last year.

Costco Wholesale Corporation, together with its auxiliaries, operates membership warehouses. The company offers branded and private-label products in a range of merchandise categories. It provides dry and institutionally packaged foods; snack foods, candy, tobacco, alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, and cleaning and institutional supplies; appliances, electronics, health and beauty aids, hardware, garden and patio, and office supplies; meat, bakery, deli, and produce; and apparel, small appliances, and home furnishings.

At the end of Monday’s trade, Forest City Enterprises, Inc. (NYSE:FCE.A)‘s shares surged 1.69% to $23.45.

Con-way Inc (CNW) declared that it has been honored with the 2014 Plant Safety Award from the Truck Trailer Manufacturers Association (TTMA).

The company also was a recipient of the award in 2004 and in 2010 through 2013, making this the fifth straight year, and sixth time overall that Con-way Manufacturing has been accorded this honor from TTMA. The company was recognized for the achievement at the TTMA’s 73rd Annual Convention in Cambridge, Maryland on April 30.
