Mid-Morning Buzzers: Hertz Global Holdings, (HTZ), Vodafone Group Public Limited Company (VOD), Mondelez International, (MDLZ), The Interpublic Group of Companies, (IPG)

On Thursday, in the course of current trade, Shares of Hertz Global Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:HTZ), gained 0.24%, and is now trading at $20.55.

Hertz Global Holdings, declared that Eliana Zem has been designated Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, effective June 30, 2015. Zem has extensive executive-level experience leading HR functions and business transformations at multi-national, consumer-facing brands in the Consumer Financial and Beverages industries. This experience comprises nine years in her current role as Senior Vice President, Human Resources at Diageo North America, a partner of the multi-national alcoholic beverages company. Zem will report to Tom Sabatino, Senior Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Administrative Officer, and will serve on the Company’s Executive Council.

During an Afternoon trade, Shares of Vodafone Group Public Limited Company (NASDAQ:VOD), gained 2.21%, and is now trading at $37.96, hitting its highest level, after the chairman of Liberty Global (LBTYA) said that the mobile communications company would be a “great fit” with Vodafone, the second largest mobile carrier in the world.

Company chairman John Malone made the comment to Bloomberg, reigniting rumors that the two companies are considering a merger.

Vodafone Group Plc operates as a telecommunications company worldwide. It offers voice, messaging, data, and fixed broadband services; unified communication solutions; Vodafone One Net, a converged service, which combines fixed and mobile services for various businesses; carrier voice and data products; machine-to-machine connection services; and cloud and hosting services, such as co-location, managed hosting, private and public cloud services, messaging services, and software-as-a-service applications.

Shares of Mondelez International, Inc. (NASDAQ:MDLZ), during its Thursday’s current trading session fell -0.47%, and is now trading at $40.47.

The Board of Directors of Mondelez International, declared a regular quarterly dividend of $0.15 per share of Class A common stock. This dividend is payable on July 13, 2015, to shareholders of record as of June 30, 2015.

Mondelez International, Inc., through its auxiliaries, manufactures and markets snack food and beverage products worldwide. The company offers biscuits, counting cookies, crackers, and salted snacks; chocolates, and gums and candies; powdered beverages and coffee; and cheese and grocery products.
