Traders Are Watching: General Electric (NYSE:GE), Twitter (NYSE:TWTR), Talisman Energy (NYSE:TLM), Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)

During Thursday’s current trade, General Electric Corporation (NYSE:GE)’s shares gained 0.26%, and is now trading at $25.08, after GE Antares, a unit of GE Capital, declared it is serving as administrative agent on a $138 million senior secured credit facility to support the attainment of Bendon, Inc. by Irving Place Capital (IPC). GE Capital Markets served as joint lead arranger and joint book runner on this facility.

“GE Antares’ willingness to underwrite the full commitment and their large hold position made them an excellent financing partner on this transaction,” said John Howard, CEO at IPC. “We continue to benefit from our relationships with the GE Antares team.”

“A proven market leader, Bendon is a welcome addition to the GE Antares portfolio,“ said Gina Provenzale, senior vice president of GE Antares. “Bendon’s longstanding relationships with their customers and product innovation position them for continued growth, organically and through attainments. In its place, the corporation is rolling out a new feature for its mobile app that highlights trending topics, part of Twitter’s ongoing effort to assist users find timely and interesting tweets.

On the other hand, Twitter faces Google buyout rumors once again.

According to Los Angeles Times, Every few months or so, Twitter becomes the subject of a fresh round of takeover speculation. This time, Google is once again said to be trying to buy the Microblogging Corporation. Neither corporation has commented.

The latest chatter began when Briefing.com, a live market analysis firm, indicated that Twitter had hired Goldman Sachs to fend off two possible takeover attempts, one of them from Google.

Years ago, Twitter turned down takeover offers from Google and Facebook, intending to compete with them for users and advertising dollars. A couple years ago, unsubstantiated rumors swirled around Apple’s interest.

In an morning trade, Talisman Energy Inc. (USA) (NYSE:TLM)’s shares climbed 1.48%, and is now trading at $7.89, as Talisman Energy Inc. (USA) (TLM), stated that the corporation has declared a dividend on the corporation’s ordinary shares of US$0.1125 per share. The dividend will be paid on April 29, 2015 to shareholders of record at the close of business on April 20, 2015.

This is the dividend which was formerly anticipated to be declared proceeding to completion of the corporation’s arrangement transaction with Repsol S.A. The completion of the arrangement remains subject to the receipt of required regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions. The completion of the arrangement is still anticipated to occur in the second quarter of 2015.
